Hood's id
Major General Marcus J. Hood was in the Pentagon when John Westland was. When Westland returned from his briefing, the guard mistakenly passed to him Hood's ID card.
If Westland fails to notice this early and ask back his proper ID, he will be unable to open Jonathan Hawkins' briefcase with the microfilm viewer.
It's possible that Hood looks like game designer Jim Walls.
